3D Walk Through

Full Details

Shingle Lodge comprises two bedrooms with luxurious super king-size beds which can both be prepared as either ‘Kings’ or ‘Twins’. The relaxed living area with its vaulted ceiling, remote control roof window blinds and underfloor heating offers stunning views across the North Channel to Ireland. In the evening, you can “coorie” (a Scottish verb meaning to nestle or snuggle) in front of the flatscreen TV and enjoy your favourite programmes or perhaps you’d prefer to throw another log in the log burner and enjoy a glass of wine and immerse yourself in a good book. The living area opens onto a private terrace where you can enjoy your morning coffee or you could enjoy your cup of morning Joe at the breakfast bar.

Families & Pets

Shingle Lodge is perfect for families. The cottage has two ensuite bedrooms and either room can be prepared with either a super king-size double bed or with two single beds. For families with three children, we can accommodate another child under 18 months of age in a cot.

The secluded beach is a perfect place for children to play.

We allow one dog to stay in the cottage at an additional charge. We respectfully ask that your dog is always kept under control whilst in the grounds and is not permitted in the bedrooms of the cottage.

Private Beach

Just a stone’s throw from Shingle Lodge is a wonderfully secluded sandy beach. Perfect for playing with a bucket and spade or just relaxing and taking in the views across the Irish Sea. Either side of the bay there are rockpools with an abundance of sea anemones, shrimp and small fish. If you look closely you may be lucky enough to find a hermit crab or sea slug. You can even fish from the rocks.

Parking

The property offers parking for two vehicles.

Getting Here
